We Hate Commercials and Corporate Lies

We hate clickbait and corporate crap posts as much as the next person. That’s why we solemnly swear that we will never mislead you, or accept  money from companies to write sponsored content for them.  If we recommend a product at antiprohibit.org, it’s because we either use the product, have used it, or have researched it thoroughly and believe in it. We will never misrepresent a product or lie to you. 

I personally can’t stand advertisements. I have been known to mute the television during commercials, and I pay Google $14.99 per month just so I don’t have to listen to stupid, annoying ads when I watch YouTube (plus, ever since YouTube Vanced stopped working, there’s really no other convenient way I know of to enable background play). When my family and I are in the car listening to FM radio and commercials play, I have been known to become irate over the claims that some companies make about their products and services. “Really? I can’t live without it? How did I make 39 years without knowing about “Sally’s Razor Blades?” – not a real product. The point is that I can’t stand patronizing commercials.

That being said, running this website isn’t free. We have bills to pay, and to keep the lights on, we have to find ways to monetize our content and generate revenue.  Currently, we do this in three ways:

1. If a product is worthwhile, either from our own experience, that of others, or our own research, we may include an affiliate link to it. When you click on these links and go on to buy the product or sign up for the service, we may earn a commission on that sale.

2.  Donations – Our main source of revenue is from direct donations from our most loyal supporters. Thank you for your contribution!

3. Our merch shop – Buying a t-shirt, hoodie, coffee mug, or other antiprohibit.org merchandise – are all great ways to show your support, and you get something cool in return! Coming soon – post a picture of yourself with some of our merch with the hashtag #itshightimeforchange for a chance to win some cool prizes!

If you can’t donate right now or afford to buy something from our shop, we get it. Money’s tight right now for many people. Just being here, reading, and sharing our articles is one of the best ways to help. We appreciate you 🙏
